How much manual torque can a precision electric screwdriver handle?
A precision electric screwdriver can typically handle several N·m of manual torque, depending on the shaft, gearbox, handle structure, and bit system.
For ToolQeen multi-stage precision electric screwdriver models, the maximum manual torque is approximately 5 N·m.
This is much higher than the electric torque range of:
0.05 N·m
0.15 N·m
0.25 N·m
0.35 N·m
Manual torque is useful for:
Final tightening
Loosening screws that are too tight for the electric mode
Breaking a screw loose before using electric reverse
Applications where more precise hand control is required
However, buyers should not assume that higher manual torque is always better. The shaft, bit holder, gearbox, housing, and precision bits must all withstand the applied load.
For small H4 / 4 mm precision bits, excessive manual torque can also damage the bit or screw head.
For ToolQeen precision electric screwdriver projects, we recommend using the electric torque levels for normal fastening and using manual torque up to approximately 5 N·m only when additional hand force is required.
