What does auto-stop torque mean on an electric screwdriver?
Auto-stop torque means the electric screwdriver automatically stops driving when the preset torque condition is reached, helping prevent over-tightening and screw damage.
The main advantages are:
Reduces stripped screws
Protects plastic threads and delicate housings
Improves fastening consistency
Reduces the need for manual judgment
Useful for repetitive repair and assembly work
Auto-stop is especially useful for phones, laptops, cameras, electronics, and other small devices where the screws are easy to damage.
The actual stopping accuracy depends on the motor, gearbox, PCB control, battery condition, torque-control method, and screw application. Auto-stop should not automatically be treated as the same as a calibrated industrial torque tool unless the product is specifically designed and tested for that level of accuracy.
ToolQeen multi-stage precision electric screwdrivers support automatic stop with electric torque levels of 0.05, 0.15, 0.25, and 0.35 N·m.
For OEM and ODM projects, ToolQeen can evaluate customized torque levels, auto-stop behavior, RPM, motor, gearbox, and PCB control according to the target application.
