The development process normally includes:
Sample inspection: check dimensions, structure, assembly, materials, and functions
3D measurement and drawing: create CAD or engineering drawings from the sample
Material confirmation: identify steel, aluminum, plastic, rubber, battery, motor, and other components
Performance testing: check torque, RPM, runout, hardness, battery, and durability where applicable
Structure review: determine which parts can use existing tooling and which parts require new molds
Cost evaluation: estimate tooling, development, sample, and mass-production costs
Prototype development: produce the first engineering sample for testing
