Which AQL level should buyers use for screwdriver orders?

For most screwdriver orders, we recommend using General Inspection Level II with the following acceptance criteria:

Critical defects: Zero tolerance / Ac 0

Major defects: AQL 2.5

Minor defects: AQL 4.0

This is a practical starting point for normal consumer screwdriver sets and is commonly used for general consumer goods inspections. AQL sampling plans are defined under ISO 2859-1:2026.

For electric screwdrivers, professional repair tools, or premium products, buyers may use stricter criteria such as:

Critical: Zero tolerance

Major: AQL 1.5

Minor: AQL 2.5

Defects should also be clearly classified before inspection:

Critical: battery safety issue, electrical hazard, serious compliance failure

Major: screwdriver does not operate, incorrect torque, charging failure, missing bits, damaged gearbox

Minor: small cosmetic marks, minor color variation, or packaging imperfections that do not affect use

AQL should not replace functional testing. Critical items such as torque, battery, charging, automatic stop, runout, and safety functions may require separate functional or special sampling tests.

For ToolQeen screwdriver orders, we normally recommend General Level II as the basic pre-shipment inspection level, then tighten the AQL or add dedicated functional tests according to the product value, application, and buyer’s quality requirements.
