What is an electric screwdriver aging test?
An electric screwdriver aging test is a controlled running test used to check whether the motor, gearbox, battery, PCB, and control system remain stable after repeated operation.
The screwdriver is normally run through repeated forward/reverse and working cycles for a defined period while technicians monitor:
Motor and gearbox noise
Temperature rise
Torque stability
Speed stability
Automatic stop function
Battery discharge and charging
Buttons, display, and LED operation
Abnormal vibration
Current consumption
Mechanical wear or looseness
The purpose is to identify problems such as weak motors, gearbox defects, unstable PCB control, abnormal heating, battery issues, or assembly defects before shipment.
Aging testing is different from a full life test. Aging testing is mainly used to screen production quality, while life or endurance testing evaluates how long the screwdriver can operate before performance significantly degrades.
