How should screwdriver packaging be drop-tested?
Screwdriver packaging should be drop-tested using the final retail package with the actual screwdriver, bits, accessories, inserts, and protective materials inside.
We recommend checking:
Use the final production packaging: carton, plastic case, EVA tray, inserts, manuals, and accessories should match the mass-production version
Test the complete packaged product: not an empty box or packaging material alone
Use a hard, flat impact surface
Test corners, edges, and faces: a typical parcel-package test uses multiple drops in different orientations rather than dropping the same face repeatedly
Select the drop height according to package weight and the required test standard
Inspect the product after testing: check the screwdriver, bits, case, hinges, locks, accessories, and internal positioning
Check packaging damage: look for crushed corners, torn cartons, cracked cases, displaced trays, or broken closures
Perform a functional test afterward: for electric screwdrivers, verify motor operation, torque, buttons, charging, battery, display, and LED functions
